A Spanking New Day...

its always just that little bit uncomfortable when you go to a friend's party and you dont know any of your friend's friends. esp when they are all friends to begin with. and did i feel like a clown walking into a funeral when i stepped into the lounge area of the firehouse. all head looked up and the eyes were evaluating me. and its not i make great entrances. or was there something wrong with my hair? or perhaps i'd been bird crapped and hadn't noticed. my own eyes were desperately searching for a familiar face; sarah? machiko? fred? anyone...! well the night turned out to be quite enjoyable except for the always-too-loud music that makes everything else inaudible and forces you to scream to be heard.

and it was good seeing vicki again. its been ages. think she's still a little mad at me but she cant stay mad at me forever :p

i shouldn't think too much. it propels my mind to places that i dont want to go and it just makes me feel a lot older than i have to.

submitted my first assignment for the year. i really have to get my act together but i must admit reading academic content is not something i would jump at. these people just go on and on and on...just get to the point already!

had a shift at hotel cremorne again and adrian was there. we got to talk a bit more and he thought i was his age (around 24) :p some lady reacted like she had won the lottery when i told her about the specials we had for the night. think its the most ive ever sold. yay!

bern & nic came over for dinner...and the whole world watched as pjp was given a final farwell.

cooking for two is a lot more enjoyable and satisfying than cooking for one.

had yum cha with stevie at kam fook (chatswood westfield). it seemed like its been ages since i last had my dim sums. some guy who came in with his wife and daughter chucked a fit because the table he was given wasnt ready by the time he got there. what an arsehole. what did he expect? its not the royal palace, you know.

ps. for the two of you that i pranked ever so slightly today, i wasn't dropped from any class. actually, i'm not even enrolled in any translation class! you can stop worrying. its nice to know you care :) but i really should be more creative and daring in future years :p
